I don't understand how some people can adore Honggu...

I get what your saying but I did take time before kiyu could see lily as a nice person, when he looked at her he was like everyone else but that changed because he saw past that. Same goes for lily but it gonna take time before she see past that shiny. It's not that she's not serious plus she never had a friend and was also bullied.

Since the only reason she agreed to be Kiyu's "friend" is because he is Grandma's grandson, so she really doesn't have any incentive to establish a serious relationship with him. As for the "shiny" bit, she's just like all those other fan girls who go ga-ga over him just because of his looks, not because he's honest and sincere.

No, she has her new "friend" Honggu who she is more comfortable being with and who she can have a normal conversation with, unlike Kiyu, who she obviously is not comfortable being with.

I guess we gonna have to read more to see where this story takes us.

Also she doesn't go ga ga over him and she talks to him normally. She didn't know he was shiny at first when he had his glasses on and spoke to him normally and she still treated the same after knowing the fact. Unlike the girls who didn't talk to him when he had his glasses and spoke to him after the fact.

Seeing as Honggu was literally labeled as "simple-minded", I don't think he has the ability to be "two-faced". Although his original plan did involve snatching away Lily from Kiyu, this immediately changed when he and Kiyu made up. Take for example his attempt at helping Kiyu and Lily's "relationship" by inviting them to a cafe. This thinking of Honggu completely contrasts the "i-can-take-your-girl-if-i-want-to" attitude he displayed before when he and Kiyu were fighting. Honggu is also pretty transparent. When he was fighting with Kiyu, he tried his best not to acknowledge Kiyu and was relatively hostile to the transferee. But, when they made up, Honggu's attitude reverts back to his attitude before with Kiyu with the addition of his active support for Kiyu's relationship with Lily.

PLUS i think the reason why Honggu is now willingly looking for both of them is because, like before, he sees Kiyu as the good friend who liked his dancing and since he thinks Lily is Kiyu's gf, it's not impossible to see them together most of the time. Thus he now continues to look for Kiyu the way he did before they fought.

Your honestly treating lily exactly like the female characters in the story. All she did was speak to the person that is speaking to her. She looks at the other dude in the eye probably because she doesn’t find him attractive. You know how in rl it’s hard to look crush well imagine it’s her first finding someone cute which is nothing like what the other girls are doing. She also didn’t want to get involved with him because she was getting bullied and didn’t want him to get targeted

Also honggu also did the same thing kiyu did and that was judge her by her appearance and just like kiyu change you can see honggu also realizing maybe he was wrong. Also reminder Kiyu also force this friendship on her after he became a fan of her. Girl is literally just breathing and people keep coming after her. In the book and in real life

Also don't forget, he likes the dad now too. Honggu's journey in learning that you can see past the outer layer is starting and he will grow from this and Lily and Kiyu will also learn to be be "normal" and he helps them too in experiencing every day life of being a student.
I love that each of thier friendships is helping them grow and that's better than the other friendships they have with others.

Lily and Kiyu learn to relax, pick drinks, go to a food shop and be normal teens thanks to Honggu.
This... this is wholesome and sweet and if poor Kiyu would stop stanning (he only learned how to admire someone by fans which is not healthy though cause fans are not a good example of liking someone) then he can learn that Lily is his friend and she likes him and even if she talks to other people, that doesn't make him less or is not meant to hurt him. He is sensitive and trying to understand his feelings. I hope Honggu helps him realize this and helps.
I see it like this
Honggu is like the party dude and let's have fun! He is normal but also goofy, the funny guy.
Lily is the serious one and the leader. She is no nonsense but listens and is protective.
Kiyu is the heart . Sensitive and experiencing everything for the first time. He helps the others see things in a new light, also the offensive, his shiny eyes are weapons of mass destruction. He could be an assassin and you'd thank him before you die.

I hope they make more friends and we can see them blossom more.
