Yes. They don't end up together. She ends up with this new guy and he ends up seeing someone else. I think the title was always a big clue they won't end up together.

It's a relationship based solely on lust and I think the point of this story was to illustrate there is a distinguishment between the two. I wish we would have gotten a second part that focuses on the "new" man.
