Wouldn't you feel anything if someone stole your belongings even if they needed money? Cause I definitely would. She should have ask like what my family always does instead of just taking away my money without permission. For Yun the scale is his treasure and gift from snow and my money is my savings. Stealing and asking are two different things.

Because she stole the scale and sold it for money the people were curious as to were does such a scale that worth a lot of money came from. People started hunting the merman and when Yun went to the lake men were taking Snow's scales and hurting him leaving the merman barely alive.
And seems like we have different perspective regarding personal belongings. In my stand point even if I were unconscious and needed money I still wouldn't want them to take away my things even if its for my own sake. Can't they just borrow some money first then ask after regaining consciousness? I would gladly give it up or find a way or another thing worthy of money. And owning a scale that can be considered rare of course they should have thought were he obtained it first as every actions have consequences

The girl didn't deserve that she died though I don't know how she was killed but yeah, she's a child its normal to be entice by beautiful objects its the adults who didn't think of the consequences and lecture her about stealing others personal things
