Jean sounds quite sexist to me. Adele is a grown woman who can clearly understand what's dangerous for her and what's not and them make her own decisions. The duke totally understands that. He sees Adele as an equal. He knows it's dangerous but he didn't start shouting at her to prove a point he's okay w letting her making her own decisions, but on the other hand Jean's meddlesome, he thinks he knows better, while he actually doesn't know so many things that the duke and Adele know.

I like this!! Why is he making decisions for her like she’s not sitting right across from him. Ik he’s concerned about her safety or whatever but he’s not her dad and he hasn’t been in her life for who knows how many years. Just chillll my dude #－.－)
Yesss, it's like he's treating her like she's incapable of making decisions for herself. He's also undermining the bond between MC and the ML because he's disabled even knowing that ML is a good swordsman. I hated the dude when he spoke about how MC couldn't do this and that like MC isn't her own person and he has the power over her. Dude sounds controlling and sexist. I didn't like him one bit.
Oh, damn. Now I'm torn between supporting Hexion and Jean. Like it's gotta be Hexion, we know, but then there's Jean checking all the ML good Qualification boxes.
