Honestly we don’t know yet.
He told Cain that he did not want to die a meaningless death for Cain‘s attempts to fight and overcome Satan.
And Satan came to ‚see‘ Sid to persuade him to help him getting rid of Cain.
But though at first Sid says he‘ll do so, once Satan is gone he does not seem willing to really to do that.
The rest is more interpretation on my part, but as to what Sid is really doing:
- if he wanted to actually kill Cain he would have had the chance to do so several times even from chapter 3 on
- he also would have had chances to kill other characters who would be his enemies several times but never did
- SPOILER!!! This has yet to happen: Ben is confused (just as we ^^) when Sid tells him to keep Cain safe
- he seems short of a nervous breakdown when Satan shows him the possible future of Cain actually dying.
- the demons inside him tell him several times to finally get rid of this or that character but he always flees the scene
What in detail Sid is doing and what his endgame is the author has yet to tell us. But if he really only wanted to kill Cain for a better place in hell, the story would very likely have been finished in chapter 3
Can someone explain to me why sid changed sides? Bc all I gathered was that he was seduced by satan for a better position and rn I have absolutely no pity for him whatsoever. If that’s all it took to betray ur “friend” than u deserve pain bitch
