Hayama is an idiot

I don't care what people think, "Oh Hayama was doing it all for Jun, he's redeeming himself!"
No, he's a selfless prick who could care less, and I hope Yukihira shuts him down and puts him in his place. He decided to take the easy way out and I bet that Jun isn't even being treated the way he was promised (serves him right).

As heartless as it sounds, I hope that he loses and the seminar in central gets shut down.

For your information, the Shiomi Seminar has already been shut down (in name) and Central seized all the research data for its new facility, which threatened Hayama into joining the dark side. Nevertheless, I agree that he simply chose the easy way out and stated that it was for Jun. And I also doubt that Amazi's promise of hiring her is either half-assed or lying by omission.
And by the way, Jun can be stronger than she looks. She was a former Elite Ten after all. She will be okay and find the way out on her own. Soma might have implied this on his very statement: "stop looking down on people, moron."
Hayama definitely underestimated her a bit too much and his obsession has become illusional.
Regarding the upcoming match between them, Hayama will lose for he forgot what he fought for and this experience serves as a step for character development.
P/S: Soma lost to him twice already. This third time is a charm as well as a revenge comeback. I cannot wait. LOL

Yeah, I also see that Shiomi is strong herself too, but I just really want Yukihira to lose and get an eye-opener. lol

I really meant no harm, but with how the situation was played out so far in the storyline... Yeah.

He lost to Hayama twice already, but he just went through 2 power up arcs. I think he'll beat him narrowly this time around.

Like I previously stated, this third time will be a charm as well as a revenge comeback for Soma after his defeat against Hayama ... twice.
And despite what Gin said, I do not think both of them are too far apart in terms of skills and capacity. Even when they competed for top spot along with Kurokiba at the Autumn Election, Soma never fell short behind and the outcome to victory was only a small margin, meaning that anyone could win the title and the odds were more in Hayama's favor. Yes, Hayama has become much stronger since the Autumn Election but so did Ryo Kurokiba and Soma. Remember that both of them defeated a Central cook and Eizan through Shokugekis, respectively. Both have come to terms with their loss. And at least they fiercely fought to defend their own turfs whilst Hayama simply gave in and chose the easy way out. Ironically for the name Shiomi gave him, Akira (bright, clear). ( ̄へ ̄)
This battle is only difficult for Soma because the Central purposefully chose a topic that lied within Hayama's specialty. Nevertheless, Soma will win (maybe to a small margin) due to his flexibility to come out of his comfort zone and learn new things. How many times did you see Soma fought against all odds with his expulsion on the line ? LOL
Besides, Hayama relied on his talented nose so much that it will bare its fang against him this time, very much like Gin's prediction. Winning might have taken the worst toll on him since he rested on his own laurels a bit too much. And I do not recall seeing him stepping out of his comfort zone at least once. Everything was almost always at his advantage (always something with spice involvement, from Preliminaries to now). Fucking boring and cliché to a fault. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

Well, Hayama cannot win this time because it's finally time for Soma to settle the score and move forward. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Well, technically, if ,Soma loses this round, then wouldn't the story stop? I mean, yes, some others from the ,Polar Star Dormitory might get expelled, after all they would face the Elite Ten, but not Soma. He's the gahddamn protagonist. Though, it would really be interesting if he did lose. XD

Did you read the manga at all, Deaf Bunny ? ( ̄へ ̄)
Soma already had the taste of defeat against these following fellows: his father 490 times since 6th grade, Shinomiya once during the unofficial Shokugeki (even though he and Megumi technically shared the loss until it was reversed), Hayama twice during the Autumn Election, and recently, Eishi once with no consequences.
He simply cannot lose to Hayama the third time, especially with his expulsion on the line. And that dam Hayama cannot be the Mary Sue character forever.
It's sad to know that some of the Polar Star Dorm residents will be expelled though.
