I agree. Taking up new or abandoned series would be the best way to get some practice.
That way, you get the experience and you might actually get volunteers to help with the grammar.
It’s cool to translate and I know you just wanted to try but it’s frustrating when I’m waiting for the scanlation group who actually makes quality translations to upload but instead you sneak in and upload your version that’s unintelligible
Im still waiting just as long for the chapter cause I cannot understand your translation, and the chapter will most likely get deleted anyway so you've wasted both of our time.
If you want to try translating, pick a series with few readers that a group hasn’t claimed, or pick up a series that another group dropped, don’t just do whatever you want so thoughtlessly.
