Same thoughts!! I really like how this was written. There are times that it makes me cringe and think why are they doing that, but I think it adds to the ‘rawness’ of the story. That the characters are not just ‘all good and all knowing’ but they make mistakes and act like high schoolers that they are. And I love the pacing! Like in how tamaki’s trauma isnt easily healed by shii (not that i dont want to, but cause it takes time and many effort to really heal from that), the thoughts and growth of the characters, and how the author slowly unveils the past history of each charac

exactly~ especially with shii, there are a handful of times when he does things that are so peculiar but in the end i think "i guess that's how he deals with his pent up emotions" and overall there's just an awkward way that both shii and tamaki articulate their thoughts that i think nicely(?) characterized them. and yes so far the pacing is great, it's not easy to do so with a few chapters and pages but the story did well in giving context to their stories. it's pretty clear that there are parts that aren't agreeable but the story isn't over yet so i'm hoping it'll be resolved eventually and not irresponsibly left unspoken of.
it frustrates me knowing that there maybe bits and pieces that are left out due to translation but still this was so well translated and presented. you can feel the conflicted emotions and unsettled thoughts of each characters. honestly there are problematic aspects to this and i feel at a lost during some scenes but it makes it feel more raw and transparent? i genuinely don't know how shii will be of help to tamaki. at times i think shii is a good factor in healing tamaki's trauma but at the same time it's harmful for both of them. idk it's weird how lost i feel while reading more of their story, usually i'd have a few cents to squander and think "ahh they should've done this or done that instead" but for this one i can't think clearly? anyway, i'll be rooting for tamaki's healing and peace whether it be with or without shii.
