I sorta assumed it’s inherited wealth because people in the school were rich. And then I was like “he must be rich too.”
He actually wasn't tho. His father abused him and gave him nothing.Just enough to live i guess. But yeah, like you said he probably just inherited his father's buisness. I believe while staying in that group house he did lots of small shady things that he was ordered to, main reason he wasn't always in the dorms and explains the fact that he spoke to someone in the phone about some sort of interference, probably something about buisness.

Also for people wondering how he can go from orphanage to riches, it’s not unheard of for your deceased parents to have a trust fund for you to only be accessible AFTER you turn 18. So below 18 years old = dirt fucking poor, after 18 = rich.
