Doumeki is in utter despair

Yashiro climbed on top on him and started moving a bit,

Yashiro questions him, “what’s the matter? we can finally do it, I can finally get to know what you like?”

But Doumeki can’t bring himself to continue. “Sorry”, it’s all he can say.

“You can’t do it after all, can you?” Yashiro asks, smiling sadly. There’s an interesting shift in Yashiro here, with his hair down, like back in those days.

Doumeki is in a shock here, wasn’t Yashiro going to fire him after all?

Yashiro has been eagerly awaiting all this time to do it with him?

We see flashbacks from Doumeki’s POV, it turns out Doumeki DID know Yashiro back when he was a cop!

Telling him his story of when he first saw him, Doumeki confesses his love.

“I was so captivated by you, I couldn’t help it”, he says, covering his eyes.

He was patrolling the streets when Yashiro greeted him, and he briefly saluted with a tip of his hat.

I don’t know, but with Doumeki’s prowess and training, he really doesn’t seem like an ordinary cop. Unless you go for the angle of officer with ‘a brilliant future’ that got ruined.

Anyways, Yashiro is shocked too by the confession, can’t handle it, and gives himself a shower, fully clothed.

Yashiro really looks vulnerable here. What a twist. He’s feeling like in those Kageyama days, the tragedy of one sided love.

As he thinks over and over what Doumeki said.

What is it about him?

He can’t do it with him but has been in love with him since when…?

Doumeki in his room after what he just said. “Did I really screw it up?”

But he hears the sounds of water and hurries himself with a towel, only to find Yashiro sitting by the bathtub, dazzled.

And this is the part where Yashiro tells him that the reason he told him all those things and questioning in the previous chapter is because he was afraid of losing him, since he’s only been three months in the job, and he just couldn’t stand it if he died in the line of work for him!

oh boy, the problem here is that he has been thinking precisely of firing Doumeki because he LOVES him! He wants him to be safe, free from this yakuza world!

Doumeki can’t friggin believe it, he’s crying.
