I believe in what i was saying and I think what you're saying is also true but for god's sake I don't believe in demons. dragons don't exist and as for why they are killed in manga, film it's only logical it's the people's fear of them or because little kids watch(depends) or read them and there are some people that are sometimes stupid enough to think they really exist and are here next to us.
