my mom worked for a brand that made essences and soaps and stuff you know. And she told me how much lavender they needed JUST to get 10 bottles of 10ml of lavender essence and the company also quickly abandoned that branch as well it took them way to much time and energy and resources to produce that kind of pure quality they always strive for (it's their motto) and the price would be just to crazy for it to be worth it....i think she said 10kg lavender for 10ml of essence? If I am not wrong?
ur mom was so COOL, and that's a really lot of lavender. I wonder how much effort has to be done to produce a plenty of soap and stuff to sell :0...
True, years ago i bought 1 pot of lavander plant thinking its could suffice on making an essential oil but wtf I didnt know it needed 10kg for just 10ml of oil??!!!
yeah just googled it....one site already says something about needing 116 WHOLE PLANTS OF LAVENDAR for only 15ml of oil. Crazy right?
and one plant of lavender is already freaking huge....
but just saying:
that amount is not enough to make essences for perfumes....you need a ton for even a bottle of 10ml of something...especially if it is from flowers....heh...
