Actually it’s sad that the manhwa, skipped a lot from the novel. The readers can’t really see how the king changed little by little. Instead, in the webtoon he changed drastically. Especially some of the dialogue in the chapter are changed! Shen yu never talked to the northern king like that. He didn’t even care he was empress, he never talked to him. It was the new side consort Shen Roufei, convincing the king to let shen yu move out of the palace. And the sub couple Hong Lian and Song Qing was having a lot of sex, it’s down-played in the webtoon. That envoy was supposed to be from the kingdom of Goryeo or the present Korea, but I guess with the issue of korea and china they changed it.

Shen Yu talked to the king casually like after the Chu arc! There’s a lot of action and war coming, if they follow the novel. Both the king and shen yu’s character development in the novel was really good.
