    They weren't trying to teach people history, they're blantly making fun of all the countries and their differences. As well as how they're people acted throughout history. ┑( ̄Д  ̄)┍

    Yep, I agree. It was satire. When I saw it back in 2011, that's the first thing that came to my mind. It baffles me as to why people are even saying that it "tried to teach history". I don't think that was Hetalia's purpose at all. Even so, I admit that it could interest people in History. But teaching it? No.
