Even if it's started superficially I'm sure that the incident with the bear actually made him a little more fond of her and well. The marrying off to Amon part I think is his way of killing two birds with one stone. Blondina gets to be with her favorite person(which is obvious to everyone now that she likes Amon) and he gets a powerful ally so he can do as he wishes with Lucy. I'm sure he's slowly becoming a true companion but he's still retraining himself from what he's used to, which is how he's always being used for political advantages. I think it's fair to acknowledge the sincerity of his attempts despite his obvious narrowmindedness, especially when we can see how easily he could have taken the route his full-blooded sister has decided to go down. In comparison to his sister who wishes to claim her desires by force and with no regards to anyone who may get hurt, I much prefer his disposition.

Does anybody else think that lart’s character development is kind of superficial? Yh he’s cute and all but if he didn’t have feelings for Lucy he would never see blondina as a friend and would still treat her like shit in my opinion. Even now I don’t think he completely sees her as equal especially when he tried to marry her off to Amon without wondering if she would be ok with that. I don’t know if it’s just me but yh
