that’s possible but i’m pretty sure the only reason current ishid had a crush on yunifer was because she already isekaid and acted in a unique way that caught his attention
hmmmm i saw some spoilers in the past and said that Ishid actually liked Yunifer even from the first timeline, but only married Rael because she also liked her, platonically, so in a way by getting married, both wouldn't have to fight over Yunifer and one wouldn't certainly be able to get Yunifer either.
Now I'm thinking about the og novel and if ishid WAS in love with yuniffer but dated rael to keep yuniffer safe from the emperor, then the prince got mad and killed yuniffer cause she couldnt get ishid causing ishid to use rael as a shield by getting with her.
