Honestly I agree, the dad probably focus on giving his daughter more materialistic items because he couldn’t help his wife with the money he was lacking at the time. So, to make up for it he trying to do what he couldn’t for his wife to make his daughter happy. Sadly all she needed was some good love and not that scumbag that made her jump .

Though the father is certainly lacking in providing for his daughter psychologically and emotionally, he didn't spare any expense for her needs. Though he does seem to treat his daughter preciously, he has the mentality that if he shows his care by providing for OG Lucifella as much as he could. He but clearly he lacked in actually showing his love for his daughter. But still he's trying the best he could for his daughter, cause he alrealy lost his wife in a painful way.
