Lol, I started reading only manhwa at first then I came across Hollow Lovers, Circle and Salad Days and discovered a whole new world filled with great manhua. I’ve started reading manga not too long ago.

Manhwa authors relie too much on smut with no character development and no world building. Meanwhile manhua authors don’t have a choice because of the censorship, so they focus more on chara dvp and world building.

As for manga, it’s like the best of both worlds : original plot, character development, good pacing, good art.

yup u described it perfectly. u open the first chapter of a manhwa nd the first thing is a lightsaber in ur face.. the manhwa that i do end up loving all tend to have no explicit scenes, theres a lot more focus on the plot/characters

Wow I couldn’t agree more, what development there can be when they have sex in every 2 chapters lol there really isn’t any deep plot in most manhwas right
And yep mangas really makes you understand the inner thoughts and turmoils of the mcs while showing why and how they fell in love with a delicate writing style, I hope more people will understand their beauty one day because in this site a lot of people only read manhwas just cuz they are easier to read and colored...

It's Manhua > Manga > Manhwa for me, I personally like to read (in terms of storyline rather than spicy scenes) so I'm hoping for longer stories. I love manga but I'm almost blind (I also sucks at finding stories so idk what to read).

Manhwa are very problematic and too much sh*t is going on. Like how they add unnecessary extra love interests in half of the plot when we all know who's going to end up with who. And the worst is, the f*cking communication. Like, do they not know how to talk sh*t up and just not make things more complicated?
But I like the colored and pretty art so I guess it's fine for me. And I also like drama, but it's just so frustrating reading the same sh*tty problems all the time.

Manhua are good. Very good. They are colored, some has pretty art, and the plot is very well planned. The only problem is that their writings and grammars are very confusing and they really need to fix that up. But overall, all is good.

And Manga. I like it. It was once my favorite. I can't really remember why my preference changed. Their art is good, very good. I like the black and white colors. But, the characters, and storylines.. Maybe I think I'm getting a little too cliched by it, that's why I changed my thoughts about it. The characters seems very cliche and almost the same as every manga I've read. The plot is the most. Every plot is like every other manga existing and maybe I got bored of reading same things over and over again. But I really, really do liked it before tho. Maybe I just got picky about stuff to read.

Agreed on what you said, that’s exactly my thoughts.

Also one of manhua big problem is that authors know how to start a story but they don’t know how to quit. So you end up with stories with +250 chapters and no end in sight. And when you do have a end, it’s ALWAYS sloppy/rushed/abrupt.

Plus there aren’t many chinese scanteam/translators, so it’s a pain in the ass to find a manhua with regular updates or which has not been dropped after 15 chapters.
