The dad didn't turn back the time it was the magician. Go back to the first season, he actually says that he turned the time back to fix what went wrong. In other words the dad fucked up. The magician was the only one that had the ability to turn back time, when he did though the MC and her father retained their memories from the first time for the dad it's in form of his dreams. I think it's so that both of them do t make the same mistakes. As to wether or. It her dad actually cares I can't say. Some times it seems like he doesn't care, and other times he seems like he cares but it like if he shows it he is showing weakness, and he can't appear to be weak. So unless you read the novel I guess you'll have to wait for more of this to be translated.
Ok like I think some ppl tried to make excuses for the dad before but after these chapters.... um, no. No! So many ppl tried to talk to him n he had so many chances to just reduce the damn punishment (not that one was needed ) but no. Dude just went for the execution. Of his freaken daughter. Nope. Nope. No sympathy or anything for him. He only turned time back cuz he fucked up. Fuck him!!!!
