Got boring to me after a few volumes. It has strong gender roles. Pretty stereotypical and light hearted. If you want to unwind then it is good for you. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it, but it is not a manga that really appeals to guys.

No offense meant but BL/Yaoi is largely written by females for females. It's bound to have elements that are not meant to appeal to guys because the target audience is not men. From what I've learned, most if not all the Japanese writers doing BL manga are females, and their target audience are females.

Again, I don't mean any offense, as a girl reading Yaoi I don't mean anything bad about it. It's just that it seems kind of funny to make it your main point that this story doesn't "appeal to guys" when it's not mean to. It's like saying that children toys are not detailed enough to appeal to grown ups, as the main critique in a toy review. What would be the point of that, if the toy is not targeted towards adults in the first place.

If you meant it as a hint for other fudanshi, then I think you could have worded your comment a bit differently. For example "as a male, this story doesn't appeal to me etc..." Instead of "this story is boring because of the fluff, girlishness..." Because those are points specifically created because of who the target audience is, otherwise this wouldn't be BL, it would called something else.

I just wish there would be more yaoi that more men could stomach. But at the same time bara seems to just force that over-masculinity on you.
