Yes I agree with you, and ngl MC's father pissed me off, like he doesn't even believe MC's words when she broke up with ML and she's not the one who put the 'innocent' man from her blind date to jail, ugh
Honestly when the “father” said he just wanted to get her married to a well funded family I knew he had no respect for his daughter whatsoever he didn’t even ask when a guy he set up with his daughter went to jail just that she should free him
I have to defend the Male Lead from this story. (I am usually the first one to hate on trashy male leads)
So he needs this perfume that only the female lead can produce, to keep his sanity. And she wont sell it to him. She will only give it to him if he dates her. And she often send other perfumes instead that should make him fall in love with her. I cant mad at him for hating or doubting her. He was really a bad human being. He didnt abuse her. He didnt verbally abuser. He ended things when he fell in love with another woman and what did she do? She tried to kill the new woman. She was a danget to sociaty. Its not like in other manwhas where the lead is a misunderstood victim. No she was a real villain that deserved her ending.
Yes, now he showed interest in her. Not because she broke up. But because she is finally acting like a normal human. Hr can normally talk to her without her being insane about him. I think his feelings would have also changed even if she didnt break up with him. He would have liked the new her regardeless. He doubted her at first and thought that she was planning something. But he understood that she really changed. And there wasnt a scene from the past where he humiliatef her or anything. He seems to be a genuinly good guy that is giving her a secand chance. Or at least listeninh to her and helpinh her with her business. He always aknowleged her talent. He is a keeper. The new her is also a keeper. They would make an amazing couple.
PS: Her father can go to hell. He played a big (if not the biggest) part in her becoming like that. Ofcourse she choose to do those things but if he had showed her even a bit of respect, the outcome would have been very different. He didnt know shit about their relationship with the duke (the duke seems like a introvert that doesnt talk openly about a relationship). But imagine him not being a gentlemen and abusing the female lead. Her father would still side with him against her. He doenst desetve the title "father". I will start calling him a sperm donor.
Sorry for the long rant. But I got really annoyed of people comparing this amazing male lead to other trashies.
