she needs to take the test because every family that ranks marquess (dk if this is the correct title) and above that has unmarried daughter has to send one daugther as the queen candidate
she never intended to succeed on the exam but the exam was rigged at the beginning and because she came out as infertile (even tho she didn't) in the test she got choosen by rose as the empress in the beginning
I knew I should've entered their world and killed rose the very moment I saw her
Also, I kinda had an impression that rose is the main reason why she was chosen, ever since they bumped into each other in the library.

I just finished the first 10 chapters of the story and I am so mad, I felt like crying, when will things get a little better?
also, I don't get why she even took the test in the first place. if she just wanted for her family to survive then she should've tried to fail the exam, marry someone from another family (so as her sister) and live happily ever after the end.
