It's probably because of the time that they have to give in screen shotting and cropping every pages of the story. Screenshot and cropping may be an easy job but it's pretty time consuming^_^

Just imagine if your teacher ordered you to make an essay but then after you finished it she tells you that she doesn't need it anymore because one of your classmate made one already. The time and effort that you put in the essay will go to waste since it's not needed anymore(not the same situation but i hope you get itಥ_ಥ)
Tho i still agree to your point since i think they can delete the previous post or something(not sure, no hate to those uploaders thank you sm for everything) they can just upload their edit again

Oh I absolutely agree about the effort made but not with your example.
the "thief uploader" (wtf seriously) did the same and nothing actually belongs to any uploader. It is nobody's job and thus, just anybody can do it.
If it's so annoying that you'd go mad because somebody did it faster than you, just don't do it, there's no obligations here.
I was already taken aback with the credit pages and the uploaders' names written bigger than the authors', but claiming the ownership of an illegal upload is just too much.
Somehow it feels more and more like "mangago, the news Instagram, Go famous" lol.
Makes me laugh quite hard when sometimes in the updates notifications, we get instead of a chapter an uploader saying "omg, the author contacted me and asked to stop uploading and to take down what I already uploaded".
Nah honestly, all this doesn't make sense.
As for taking down a chapter already updated just to put your own, that's just as dumb and disrespectful as illogical.

Just looking at it with a practical and logical POV. The only one that should be credited and can claim the ownership is the author, I don't get how people think.
I wish uploaders would just upload stuff without making it out to be a personal shit omg. I'm thankful for the uploads but somehow, it feels more and more like you guys are trying to get credits instead of the authors, seriously....
I wish I could go back 25 years ago when we just borrowed books between friends then harass our parents to get those we liked without anyone claiming some sort of recognition out of everything.
