no...he didn't fall in love...this is stockholm syndrome....like the title says...it is like love...but love in and of itself is something where toxicity does not exist...he loves him due to his stockholm syndrome...but yeah....it is understandable though...his life was dependent on this guy for too long so his brain now associates this man with survival so yeeeeh...
