He's supposed to gather the souls he crushed to lift the curse on Anubis and restore order to the underworld. If he does that he gets to row for all eternity (yay?) and if he doesn't, his soul gets dissolved. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Yeah, but I guess that's mainly to keep him out of the way. Him gathering the souls is more of a way for him to repent for what he's done and to redeem himself a bit by undoing the harm he caused. Either way it's messed up, lol. Like, he either gets his soul dissolved or he practically gets imprisoned.
But I don't think Horus would let that happen so there's that!
