Oh dear, some might have not taken the thought to think that they were going to have matching dresses from whatever Blanche chose to wear, maybe she could have done more for her dress but then it might’ve not truly matched Blanche’s dress, she was even agreeing on the thought that she should change but cared about Blanche’s feelings more than the opinion of the people mocking her, true motherly love.
It wasn’t about being pretty it was about being a mother.
I agree I think people are forgetting that the in previous chapters they were talking about how Blanche had to wear dresses that no child her age should be wearing so while it might not have suited the mother I definitely did for Blanche to finally have a dress that wasn’t tight and uncomfortable but a dress for her age because she still is a child
