well i think that sawamura ambition and furuya ambition really different dont you think..well i mean that furuya wanna be the best in japan with his pitch..but sawamura wanna be ace in his team....i already accept him as ace whether his nummber is not no 1....sawamura pitch really for his team and i think that furuya still pitch for himself..

i don't think the 'i wanna be the best' is purely for himself, it is because when they went for nationals he saw how high ppl's levels are in the highest tournament that would make anyone think that he should improve more, that if he were stronger and able to shut down batters with his strength, the better
I dont really think their ambition is not that different because in the end of it all they want to be stronger, improve on their skills, acquire more skills and pitch. I get it that its a team sport and all that team effort stuff is seen as a must but in the end whats important is an athletes skills and spirit that dont want to lose...
