If Kira did die the mc would end up alone because Yabe and that black haired girl have a thing going on with each other and there are no other prominent male characters.

I really love realistic endings. That's the reason why I would like to about Kira's death and Nino finding happiness once again with Yabe, which I like very too. In my opinion THAT would be an happy ending because death is always near us in real life, and keep going and find new joy is so difficult.
