For the parents, yeah they are. The friend ? No he's not. He was alone the only friend he had was jiri. The only one he could confide in was jiri. The only one who knew A was scared of being alone was jiri. How do you think he would process a confession from the only one he has around him including all the mess involving his parents ? Y'all really be expecting everyone to deal with everything perfectly. No one is allowed to be sad except the main characters huh ?
