I think he's still dreaming, I don't think the 2 dream is real, bc we see something "deeper' when sota is saying don't trust the guy, I think it's something like inspection,
Pretty sure in the real world, during the real car accident, Sota died.
And I think the mom mixed in some drugs to kill the whole family (except Sota since he was not there).
But Sota somehow feels somethings not right, came to find everyone unconscious inside the car, quickly drive the car to hospital to save the family.
But car accident happened because he was panicking and in a hurry.
So... Sota is alive. Is the family keeping tabs on him after he's cut them off? But what about the accident? Was he discharged early so he never got to talk to them after saving them?
What's with the fake cheery act of the parents? Was it to copy and show that they're just as happy as Sota when communication was severed?
Also, realistically speaking, cameras are expensive as fuck. Even if I'm not passionate about photography, I will definitely throw hands if someone smashes it.
