i get your point, but why would his father not listen to him when he as the only 'pupet' candidate of his mother, declare he won't take the throne? he would be ecstatic bcs the son of the woman he hate isn't listening to his mother.
and i don't think his mother would kill him just like that as if he's easily replaced, then he would have been killed long ago bcs he's an omega. meaning, his existence itself is a threat to his mother. he could easily ruin her as a liar and make a fool of her in front of those nobles of both sides and the neutral

don't misunderstand me though, i don't hate him. he's cute and pitiful and i like this kinda bottom, i'm just a bit disappointed of the setting of this story has. i feel like it could be better with more acceptable cause and effect element. for example, there's something he could not give up on so despite all the harsh treatment he's still holding on. but till now i get the feeling he's just moving with the flow.. hmm well it's still the beginning that i also get it. I'm just hoping maybe there's more to it later.
Because the King gave up early. He didnt even tried to be father. He never gave MC a chance. And MC knew his father didnt llike him that why he gave up asking for help.
Im not sure if the webtoon will show it but the confrontation between MC and the King is actually heartbreaking.
i need a strong reason as to why MC should obediently nod at his mother's tyranny.. when he could raise a white flag himself to his dad the King or deliberately make a ruin to his public image so those who side with the queen got scurried away.. (=・ω・=)
