When his eyes get red, he doesn't has any control over his mind and body. It is like an instinct to get a body. Mr. Reaper explained it in the earlier episodes. Since our boy mc here needs organic energy that is full in humans and low in ghosts, that's why ghosts possess humans to get that energy. You can say that energy is like a dopamine or serotonin shot for the brain. Since our mc here is half human and half ghost, his body is in a constant need of that organic energy shot. And whenever he goes low for the energy, boom red eyes appear. But agreed how it feels like he is in own world with how everything around him is in chaos cuz of him. Prolly quite accepting of everything he is if I say. Like "oh this happened? So bad! But it is fine. It is alright."

Yeah but he's so stubborn always wanting to go out and interact with humans even though Mr.reaper especially told him not to do that to decrease the risk plus when he gets red eyes we always need to pray that Mr.reaper is by his side I just hope that he lessen his reckless activities ╥﹏╥
I mean... He is just an extrovert. What can anyone do in that. If I were told I was going to die in few days, I did tell everyone about it before dying. Even make a will. Meet all my classmates and stuffs despite being an extreme introvert. Im saying this from my pov but Idk how you will react in that situation. Hm but you are right. In that sense.
