His ears are really in bad shape for someone his age. He's definitely on his way to burning out early. My prediction is a devastating injury will be coming soon, which may be a device to get sympathy for his character, along with a reveal to why he is driving himself so hard. Then this divided comment area will really explode!
Also my guess. Nobody knows his background story and everyone wants to ignore how he grew up to be so toxic only to see him as a bad person. Nobody even knows his childhood story but I feel it must have really been bad because the dude is so obsessed with training so bad. He puts so much responsibility on himself. I wonder how he even copes honestly. He's too hard on himself all because of the MMA and how he needs to always remain at the top.

Who tf is we? He really cares about his grandma and has many fond memories of her. If she died then it would be very scarring and he could possibly just end up giving up on his life. We all read the same story and he has a horrible adult life and nobody helping him except a man who fucks him aggressively regardless of the location with no regard toward how he feels. If I were in Kim Dan’s position I would have jumped off a skyscraper by the time the loan shark chapter occurred if it weren’t for my (his) grandmother.
Seriously Kim Dan’s barely hanging on by a thread financially and has to put up with a douchebag client who demands sex before each match due to “a jinx” which he doesn’t even explain so if anything, his grandma is the only one who is keeping him alive at this point. So saying “I want her to die already” when if you think about it the death of someone that close to you can destroy your whole world. So excuse him for wanting to help his grandma fight cancer by paying her medical bills.

I honestly don't know what's gonna happen to the grandma, but I've recently had this sneaking suspicious *something* is gonna happen to her sometime in the story. And Dan is gonna be upset.
And if that does happen, already troubled Dan is gonna have to deal with that; probably one of the most devastating things for him, while also dealing with his other problems.
I'm surprised he already hasn't given up. I mean, he's sometimes spineless imo, but he's veryyy persistent and strong in that way. He doesn't seem like the type to give up.
