its partly an adaptation thing! I can't say for certain but more than likely there were parts of the webnovel were prioritized and others were glossed over to accommodate the webtoon format.. and then when we add these censors that skip over scenes and chapters.. we add some more confusion to the mix lol
Tbh, it took me re-read this few times to finally understand their characters. And when chapter 38-40 finally dropped. It just all makes sense. Those chapters are very critical to understand where Seo’s coming from. Trusting people not easy for him, and yet he keeps Soheon around.
But what I really love him is that the attraction is not an instant like “Falling in love at the first sight” type, but more like, “you caught my interest (not romantically) but once I get to kno you, you keep surprising me everytime and I really like that” type. The same with Soheon, because we know how much he hates the other guy at first. Yes that have sex, they have mutually agreement that involved sex, but both had good time, wether how much Soheon wouldn’t like to admit it.
yeah I feel like that stuff starts to click after a second or third read. they really toss information at you left and right + all the business/finance jargon. You’re so right. I forgot how many times I keep coming back even when theres no uodates to at least understand everything, includung the characters and the plot. I instantly fall for the mc seeing him being this character who bites back to others, and the storyline actually came in second before whatever going on between him and his love interest.
I find the characters very hard to read. Maybe it's me. But I can never figure out why the seme is pissed and y they r fighting. Maybe it's time for me to re read this from the beginning
