It's not that I don't get you but try to think in the dad's POV.
He's a tyrant king who had an arranged marriage. No feeling involved here. He doesn't know how to love yet at that point.
Not that his feeling didn't exist but he didn't know how to express it. The first wife is not expressive either and didn't help him in finding love. Only when his second wife came in his life that he learnt how to love. Recall that only she could calm him down before.

Personally I’m still angry at the dad because out of all the ways to protect her you decided the one that would put her under the most stress?! Also I feel like if my parent just decided my fate like that then I would always hold a little resentment towards them.
Lmao ik I'm new but, for me, the FL is annoying for now XD also, plz don't blame all of them. The dad tried his best to connect in his own form of "love" that he knew, + the passing of the title? That could be change when she's older (just announced it publicly so she won't be taken) the son was never neglected ( you can see their interaction my friend!)
My heart ache when the dad distances himself from her because of her outburst without knowing the reason for like a month. I know he annoyed her but I don't like the sad expression from him. He already lost his wife and his daughter treated him like that. I get that this is comedy but it's not good to prolong the fight no matter how much you try to emphasize the cuteness.
