Yep, he thinks he did but the mole on his hand gave him away and blondie knows his identity. The king wants to know how will blonde act and what he will say about the king to other people (that’s why he pretends to be the gray hair comrade) but the true reason is that he wants to protect the mc by himself. Blonde didn’t tell him that he knows tho, probably because he wants to tease him and not make him embarrassed just yet.
