No it's moreso that I know damn well the rumors will become a problem later with her credibility and respect in professional and social settings. She's also going get whiney and complain about the rumors later getting all sad and gloomy about it resulting in all the male characters defending her in the end and just make a big deal out of a problem she caused herself that she can't even fix herself. She's being trash and the story is not calling her out on it and punishing her for it meanwhile he's being trash and everyone is punishing him letting everyone know he's a piece of shit.
