I think spoon will skip some things cause they are already covered in the k drama
You need to watch the kdrama with this manhwa. This manhwa is the prequel to the kdrama- and both fill all the plot holes. Ig both are promoting the others stories. Like kdrama promotes the manhwa and the manhwa promotes the kdrama. It’s not supposed to be a fully detailed story because it’s not only a manhwa. It’s not spoon’s fault. Last I checked- spoon is only the artist that does what they’re told to draw. The author is a completely separate person (and if I remember correctly even wmmap was a novel written by an author and spoon took up the project to work together with the author and adapt it into a manhwa).
ohh i should try watching the kdrama if i have the time. maybe that'll help me understand the story more. never knew it was a prequel.
but regarding wmmap, spoon actually changed a lot of details in the og story. although spoon is only known as the illustrator, they did change some things that majorly affects the story, including its pacing, because wmmap was "transitioning" into an original manhwa that wasn't following the novel anymore. in the manhwa, jeanette was a genuinely kind person who never had ill intentions towards athy, but in the novel she was actually the opposite. im pretty sure the reason why spoon changed jeanette is because spoon grew fond of her, that's why she decided to scrap jean's initial attitude and made her into a much likeable person. that's why the novel's pacing, story, characters, etc. are very different from the manhwa. and as we all know, spoon is mainly the one responsible for all the changes.
thats why i assumed that spoon also had the position to intervene and change the storyline in this manhwa. because in wmmap, they definitely had the power to do that.
Ahh I see, I didn’t know that. But I guess it depends on every author or company- I don’t exactly know of spoon would be allowed to always have that much control for every novel they decide to take up. This may be different (who knows?) since it’s also known as a kdrama, and there’s more people working on it than just the manhwa. If spoon does decide to change things, it would conflict with the kdrama
the most i want from this manhwa are the reconciliation of the two siblings and a better pacing of the story. because rn things are happening a little too fast. ik time skips happen often in manhwas, but in this case, i personally don't think spoon did a great job executing it. which i find ironic because in spoon's previous manhwa, the pacing was undeniably slow (i'm talking abt wmmap). regardless though, i love both of those manhwas lol
