IMO i think people hate him probably because he keeps on disregarding Seo-yeon’s feelings for him and constantly giving him signs and shit and also acting nice to him before he told the bb why he was chosen. Idk(￣∇￣")

Definitely because hes sexually assaulted yeonoh a couple times now and both times after he was just sexually assaulted days before or literal minutes, people might not see it as sexual assault but he begged for him to stop, he was drugged up and degraded, so id say probably why..
