First they complain about not understanding the first season, then the second season unpacks the lore and the readers whine and throw a fuss about not seeing their boys fucking. Like, if they wanted a brainless BL manhwa can't they go somewhere else and stop complaining that this story actually has good storywriting?

For starters I think it's really unfair to shit on the author for "dragging" the 2nd couple's story when they explicitly stated that the whole season would be about them. Now the season is over and we can see how intertwined their stories are and how pointless it would be to follow the main couple's story without showing where their fate is pointing towards. Hwan did to San the same he did to YW, he stole his memories. Probably aware that Geumsum and San were the only ones who could capture him, he hit where it hurt the most. Now Geumsum and Eunjae options are to let their lovers live without the memories of them or to make a deal with Hwan, who's being imprisoned in the underworld and will for sure only give their memories back by requesting to be freed.
