The gods are all incestuous. The thing is though, that's not a thing to the gods. They're perfect beings, they don't face birth defects and their culture was originally to partner with whoever they wanted and move on whenever they wanted casually. Ra says everyone was happy back then, everyone banned together to take care of the children, there was no monogamy or marriage, it was all casual. If you felt something for someone you stayed with them. The main gods of the story were all born from the same gods (Nut and Geb) and all of them pair together. The only asexual god is Ra. They've started to take on some modern human culture, like marriage, but that doesn't extend to incest.
If you're worried about incest *themed* sex scenes, as in where *that* it's incestuous is mentioned in dirty talk/purposefully made to be apparent to the reader, the only real offender is the scene between Osiris and Set. You could skip it, but it's also important to read that scene to understand the gravity behind what happened. It's sort of the crux of the backstory and why everything is how it is. I wouldn't recommend skipping it. The other pairings it's hard to even remember that they're related because it's never a focus. It's a focus between Osiris and Set because Set only ever looked at Osiris as a brother, which is an issue for Osiris because he is obsessed with him and finally loses his shit about it. He had been plotting to have Set for a long time, keeping it hidden and manipulating Set's life without him knowing.
Should i read this?? I keep seeing how everyone keeps talking abt incect???? i just wanna know if the story is good
