It's for you to judge. Many of the novel reader did not like the ending. I'm one of them, it was a great ending though. And one of the best bl novel, highly recommended

I likeyhe ending, it was one of those that'll make you cry though. But i've read the extra chapters set after the ending and that was spicy. So depending on where OP read the novel, they might have read the one where it was just sad times. For me, i read it in chrysanthemumgarden

Extra i read was MC and ML living in the forest MC came from. They were bonding in a truck...bonding with extra spice so yeah. It was hinted there that MC eventually "reborn"
To add to this, i heard that the official english serialization of Little Mushroom was censored(when it was promised that we would get the uncensored version) and i never saw an update if it was ever fixed. Reason why i stopped myself from buying either volume 1 or 2 cus i don't wanna buy damaged product.
