He is a kid living with his uncle and grandma, he is a parisian so maybe that is his family home
And therapy ain't that expensive for them probably or that he maybe be a family friend and he has been going to that place since he was a little kid too.His uncle must be making bank being single and being the chief police officer. Also could be the inheritance left by his dead parents :(

İ don't know dude cause a therapy session in France is like from 40(personnaly i never found one this low) to 90 something euros per session and obviously atypical sport classes such as bow can be quite expensive. Moreover he is living in paris so everything is twice as expensive than in province. And tbh polices im france have a rather shitty salady even chiefs like it's around 2-3k without them huge taxes. And when you have your own house you also have to pay some enormous taxes. And parisians are way too parisian to make you some discount because you go somewhere since childhood

The house doesn't look rich though, plus he is not going to therapy for just some common ailment. I bet his therapy sessions are a priority in his family. I don't think his uncle is paid that low tbh, we still don't know his position exactly, but he is a higher up and not like Bob who must just be a constable. Owning a generation home isn't that expensive, it is a huge relief to own your property since a long time ago precisely because it is more beneficial if you just bought it with all that fucked up property taxes shit. Your idea of luxury though may be different from mine though - for me things like therapy and playing sports isn't a big deal and is super affordable. They're just maybe upper middle class imho.
You said how is the boy affording to live there, it is his home that his parents probably owned. That's what I answered. They could have generational wealth too, and his uncles salary plus if his whole family died in an accident then life insurance too. Plus if he had a lot of money, why would he need to babysit other people's brats to save up money to buy those black ripped jeans? Idk.

The thing is that most houses in paris look like shit because they are very old from the Hausman period and ussually despite being less convenient, they are extremly expensive. İf the his grandmother bought the house then she probably did it before the house inflation so it wasn't that expensive but nowadays a house like thay in paris is around 600k to a few millions depending on the district. However as the house is nice and the district too, i deduce that they live inside of paris in a good and expensive zone probably near paris 16th. Moreove groceries, electricity prices and many more are ussually twice as expensive in paris than in other cities. For example an hour long metro/bus ticket cost around 2 euros while in Lyon which is the second big french town it's like 1.50. And especially today, many french citizens have pretty shitty wages. Those that are in the criminnality department ussually don't gain more than 3k a month and seniors definetly had a decrease of their pay especially since macron came. And based on the fact that the mc has a nice phone i deduce that they probably live in a period in which macron was already elected. And yeah overall in france especially in paris with the current inflation things like sports and therapy are in fact like luxuries as the current average wage is around 2500 euros per month which is pretty low for the huge amount of taxes french citizens have to pay and the high prices. And yeah moreover you said that he wouldnt need to babysit if he had generational wealth so that makes me even more question how they afford all his stuff because in average by babysitting in france you gain between 9 to 11 euros per hours so lets say he goes to therapy 4 times a month for 97 euros the session, he would need to pay 388 euros so basically babysit around 38 hours and moreove if he pays 300 euros on average for hid bow classes per month that would make another 30 something hours of work basically equaling to 60 something hours. İf this boy is younger than 16 he is obligated to go to school so he cant work that much in a month and if he is older than 18 he has to pay taxes so his working hours would be even longer. We could however think that his uncle and gramothef share the cost of his necessities but even then i feel like their lifestyle feels way too luxurious for a senior and a cop that both have low wages with a high cost kid

Damn, you feel really strongly about his background. The boy works to afford his clothes not his therapy, which is probably paid for by his uncle probably. He is 17 or 18 and does go to school (we see him doing homework and having friends from school)
The cost might not be high for them tbh, or maybe it is, but these are necessities for them, not just something they do for non-serious issues. Maybe his parents before they died were rich, and their house could be something the grandmother or grandfather inherited beforehand. My parents own two houses - one they bought and one the grandparents left them. But that doesn't mean we're rich, but simply that we can afford to live a little bit more easily than people in our tax bracket probably. Maybe he feels guilty for them paying for his therapy and medicines, so he works part time jobs to aid his hobbies of fashionable clothes. He isn't being a parasite of sorts. Even if he was rich, he isn't apoiled at least.
I think iphones are not a luxury item anymore since you can buy them by saving up for a few months - and if you forgot, this phone was given by Tera to him. Maybe he had an older model. I think he's just middle class tbh.
