he isn't oblivious be has trauma from his previous partners and his uncle. He's aware the fox could be him but he pushes that though away cause everybody and they mama's has been telling him nobody would actually want to date him. I know the Mahwah doesn't do a good job with his back story but like this shit should be obvious.
