in the novel, i didn't know if an zhe was absorbing him or just copying him until it said that within a few days an ze was a skeleton

I am asking because if there is a romance interest ,his lover will eventually love a mushroom and to be honest "I want to find my spore" was the weirdest aim I have ever heard from a main character
lmaooo yeah that was funny but it all felt natural in the novel, think of the spore as like a limb that was stolen from him lol
