Actually im pretty sure the mom just says “You look alot like your father” in a way that most parents compare their faces with their children, not bcs of Sung Jin Woo not being present in his childs life. Pretty sure they shld get that translation fixed. Also he did recognize his dad, but only when he was up close, Sung Jin Woo was covered very heavily so thats why he cldnt tell it was his dad until Sung Jin Woo pat him on the head and talked to him. If Sung Jin Woo had left the child then he wldnt even recognize him even if Sung Jin Woo talked. Hope this clears up your misunderstanding!
I wish they just made it clear by actually seeing the family interact with each other after the time skip because it's a bit confusing and it would actually be nice to wrap things up emotionally ╮(￣▽￣)╭ from baby to teen
I thought that his mum said that the kid reminded her of his dad (i think she meant she saw aspects of jinwoo in their son, like habits etc?) Thats the reason he walked into the gate because thats what he thought his dad would do. Also with the way they fought the kid never got a proper look at his dad, his dad was also hiding his face with his hood and the kid only recognised him through his voice. I agree that the story wasnt really wrapped up that well though!!
i'm a little bit confused in the last couple of side stories it seemed like the son didn't know his father By saying things like Oh my mom told me that I look like my father and then when he sees them it takes him a while to notice that his dad ? but he's still around to be with his wife i'm confused why can't they be a happy family
