i don't think his past is gonna be anything that will absolutely be detrimental to their relationship due the fact he had told her father but he just want ready to tell her
i mean yk if her father heard all about it and still accepted itsu then it's probably gonna be fine
it may still be something that could cause yk a rift or some kinda meaniful addition to the story but i don't think it's gonna separate the main couple
