I understand. I can actually relate. I've been known to stop, obsess, and stare at a unique looking rock itching to put it to paper. Or a nicely shaped cloud, a broken glass, a hand pose, etc. When it catches you off guard, it's all the more beautiful. So him obsessing over the male slave and the woman is so relatable.
