i think the savepoint is where they save progress with the items they collected or missions they complete, not where they respawn. if they don't find the save point, they have to recollect the items from that run. doha accessing the savepoint means that he won't start the game over empty handed, and is able to continue on w memories & items of the previous round.

my theory so far is that bada was the first of the group to go from npc to player after finding a save point, but we know literally nothing about how bada got into this situation yet. so don't feel upset as to not understanding bad origin, since it wasn't discussed yet so none of us really know. im sure it'll be addressed in future chapters!

I didn't get the savepoint part. Wasn't a savepoint meant after they die, they will reset at the certain part whereas in the attic? since the red eyes dude saved the game.
Or maybe the game still set the mc as the player and the other are still npc even though red eyes dude finally have an ego?...(〜￣△￣)〜
