Why is the omega and alpha thing so popular in yaoi as of late. If I got the name right it's called a OmegaVerse type of yaoi? I just want to know why it's in so many manga.(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ I tend to want to know the small and unimportant stuff. Sorry if I didn't explane it well
well, for one this type of AU(alternate universe) is characterized with submissive character going into heat, differentiated male biology, fights for dominance, etc. With Yaoi being Yaoi.. ain't those just perfect???!!!!! It leaves a room for artistic twists and plots..

It been getting a bit of a mini revival in English, it seems, cos there are a lot of yaoi-readers out there who don't even know that it exists. I think there's also particular scanalation groups looking to translate omegeverse manga specifically.

I think the reason behind the popularity of omegaverse type in yaoi world is because we don't read about a uke often getting so horney and want despiralty to be fucked!!
